Birthday in the park

Last Sunday I took my son Angus to one of his kinder classmates birthday in the park. It was a beautiful sunny autumn day with some fabulous food. I took the opportunity to fine tune my shallow depth of field focusing skills with the D800 and trusty 50mm f1.8. Instead of relying on a zoom lens, I used my feet as the zoom and kept the aperture wide open for maximum effect. Don't let anyone tell you that the D800 is limited to tripods and the studio.

Simons-Moemai Family

Last weekend I had the pleasure to photograph the Simons-Moemai family at their house. Instead of the usual park setting we decided to setup the portable studio in their living room. It was a fun day with my four year old son Angus joining me as my assistant.

White Night 2014 - Magic Hour In The Secret Garden

Last weekend I teamed up with Wild Glass Creations to present Magic Hour in the Secret Garden as part of the Melbourne White Night Festival. Peyton-Walshe Family

Last month I had the pleasure of photographing Annelise and Simon and their two children Matilda and Somer at Jawbone Marine Sanctuary. It was a a beautiful summer morning at the families favorite local beach location near Wiliamstown. Thanks to the Peyton-Walshe family for being such great subjects.
